Terrell Academy
is accredited by the Georgia
Accreditation Commission (GAC)
and is a member of Georgia
Independent Schools Association
(GISA).
Established in 1970, we are a
Christian-based K3-12th grade
College Preparatory School with
a total enrollment of 300
students from Terrell and
surrounding counties. Students
at Terrell Academy receive
traditional instruction enhanced
by the use of technology. In
addition to this, many
extra-curricular activities are
available to students. It is our
purpose to provide opportunities
for students to develop their
intellectual, physical,
emotional, social, and moral
capabilities to the extent that
they can function responsibly as
citizens in our changing
society.
Our elementary students receive
traditional instruction as well
as Art, Music, Computer, and
Accelerated Reading. Karate,
Voice, Piano, and Dance Lessons
are also available at an added
cost. YMCA Soccer is also
offered to K4-5th grade. Third
and Fourth grade students who
are interested, are given
instruction in the basics of
basketball and play at half-time
of the home Varsity games. Fifth
graders play Junior Pro football
and basketball.
Junior High students participate
in the Accelerated Reading
Program, Art, and 4-H.
Extra-Curricular activities
available to Junior High
students are Cheerleading,
Softball, Baseball, Basketball,
Football, and Track. Students
who maintain an A average are
inducted into the Junior
National Honor Society.
High School students are given
the opportunity to get involved
in extra-curricular activities
such as the National Honor
Society, Yearbook, One-Act Play,
Literary, Debate, Fellowship of
Christian Athletes, Letter Club,
Student Council, Spanish Club,
